RCA Victor Model 63EM
Turntable / Record Player circa 1948 -- AC Operated 3 Tube Record Player with Speaker.
Amazingly 70 years later, when you plug this record player in and lift the needle arm (it literally springs up), the turntable starts spinning. It spins at a rapid speed, which we think is for 78 speed even though there was a 45 insert plug on top when we acquired it. 45s were first released in early 1949 so who kn...ows. After the tubes warm up in about 30 seconds, a loud hum commences so you will at least have a capacitor to replace under the hood as well as the needle or stylus.
And that was the extent of our testing as we soon after unplugged it. This brief description is in no way an indication of all that might be wrong with this turntable, but only represents the limits of our knowledge before we decided to sell it for parts/repair. There are no returns on this item!
Cosmetically, you can see some scuffs and marks and wear, so use the photos as your best guide since all should be visible.
