FINE STERLING SILVER PLATE. WE WILL REFUND or DEDUCT $4 from shipping if you do not want the Heavy blue box. These were produced by the Franklin Mint in the 1970s. This plate is 173 grams sterling silver with 24K gold inlay in the etching. I have over 40 of these assorted Presidential plates. All in fine condition. A few are currently listed. Many have the original heavy blue box. These plates sold for $150 each in the 1970s before gold and silver prices escalated!Fantastic rare Fra...nklin Mint limited edition 8 inch diameter solid sterling silver plate, issued in the 1970's by the White House Historical Association. Each plate is solid sterling silver with an ornate 24K Gold etched portrait.. . The back of the plate is marked sterling silver with the symbol and authorization of the White House Historical Association. The Franklin Mint and White House Historical Association produced individual commemorative plates of every President from Washington thru Reagan. Most were issued during the 1970's. plates are numbered and weigh over 5 ounces actual sterling silver. .. Some were ltd ed of 10, 000 and others less. They originally sold for $150 each. They have value both as beautiful Presidential collectors plates and for basic silver value.I AM NOT ABLE TO ACCEPT RETURNS DUE TO OUR RAPIDLY CHANGING ECONOMY!
