Featured here is a tiny little vintage Native American Indian Skookum papoose doll for the souvenir trade! This one has a composition head, with a mohair wig, and the original paper headband printed with traditional symbols. Just a bit of a blue feather remains tucked into the back of the band. The doll is “dressed” in its original floral print cotton bunting. This was probably an accessory for a larger mother doll to have tucked into the back of her trade blanket. It could have be...en part of a Skookum “mailer” assembly as well, or wrapped in its own blanket. There is a little safety pin in the back. It is in very good condition, and may be just the thing you need to display with a larger doll! In the last picture, I show it with a very large 14 1/2” Skookum doll. The big doll is not included here, but can be seen in a separate listing.
