Yard sale find.  This is a Palmer's and Stroke's Metallic Plane Co of Auburn NY 10 inch long plane.  It has two patent dates:  May 14 '67 and Oct. 19 '69.  Those dates must be from the 1860's.  This one has been used and shows wear.  The handles are in really good shape for their age.  The lever cap is fine.  The cutter iron is marked 'Cloverleaf' and shows wear.  All the levers on the old frog work.  The base is ROUGH and hence I am se...lling this one AS IS.  If you look at the last three photos you can see places where the base has had pitting filled, has a break on the side and has some serious pitting on the corrugated bottom.  Lot of work to restore this one but it probably could be done.  Otherwise there are some very nice parts here for other planes.  The handles alone are worth the starting price.  Look at all the photos and feel free to ask questions.  Check my feedback and bid with confidence.  I discount shipping fees on multiple concurrent purchases.
