Description: -
Carved from a section of native hardwood - by the Bamileke people of Cameroon. The standing "Royal Ancestor" figure is completely bound with loom woven plant fibre fabric. The fabric is covered with threaded and applied polychrome glass trade beads.
I have owned this example for at least 20 years will be offering other pieces from my own private tribal art collection for sale on ebay over the next few weeks.

Height - 20" (507mm).
Weight - 2029 grams.
T...he overall condition is very good. No repairs or alterations. Natural colour and patina.
