Description/Interesting Notes: ***EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT!!! We have just completed the acquisition of an important Eastcoast collection - the incredible 28, 000 specimen collection of Chet Lemanski!!! To handle a collection of such size and import, we have purchas...ed the collection jointly with The Arkenstone (after the great success of the joint venture on the Kay Robertson collection we were excited to have another chance to work together)!!! Chet is a lifelong collector, the namesake of the mineral Lemanskiite, and assembled an amazing worldwide collection (with MANY significant suites) as well as a very important collection of Franklin minerals!!! In addition to incredible worldwide specimens we have acquired the core of the Franklin suite and we are so excited to share them with you, our loyal customers and friends!!! This showy rhodochrosite specimen exhibits the rare and highly sought after "wheatsheaf" habit that is so prized among collectors!!! This specimen hosts numerous, intergrown "wheatsheaf" bundles of doubly terminated crystals on a plate of jet-black manganite matrix!!! The rhodochrosite crystals exhibit razor-sharp faces with brilliant, glassy luster and translucent to gemmy clarity!!! The doubly terminated crystal groups exhibit the characteristic gemmy terminations with handsome reddish pink color!!! This specimen is in fantastic condition and displays gorgeously in person!!! This specimen is from the noted collection of Chet Lemanski!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
