1911 Fenton Birmingham Age Herald Carnival Glass Bowl “Carrier’s Greetings”. This is an Estate Find from right here in Birmingham, AL. It was originally given away by paper carrier’s to their loyal subscribers. VERY few were ever produced. The front depicts the beautiful Birmingham Age Herald Building, while the back is paneled. This pattern has always been very coveted amongst carnival glass collectors and Birmingham memorabilia collectors, alike. Over nearly 30 years in the a...ntiques business here in Birmingham, I’ve seen very few of these surface. This is the rarer version of the bowl...it measures 7.5” across and 2.5” tall. There was also a ruffled bowl and a plate produced in this pattern. Condition very good with excellent eye appeal. There is a very small crack in the foot of the bowl...does not go thru into the bowl section. Also, a couple of very minor surface scratches above the lettering as well as a straw mark or two on the back side of the bowl. Overall, really good for a 110 year old bowl. It could actually stand a good cleaning to make the colors pop even more. Shipping will be INSURED USPS Priority Mail.
