Rare Tiffany Studios Glass & Decorating Company Favrile Bronze Wave Inkwell
Inkwell size.
This is a Extremely rare inkwell in what is called ''wave pattern'' and was a special order item with Tiffan...y glass & decorating company before Tiffany studios. It is signed with its item number on the bottom 23908 as seen in the photo.
3 1/16"w x 2 1/2"d x 1.5"h
This one is even more rare to me because it is using Tiffany Cypriote glass for the mosaic instead of basic iridescent glass. I have not seen that with any other mosaic inkwells maybe custom to the order. The photos don't do this inkwell justice the patina is in a warm brown with hints of green.
In all of my research I have only seen this inkwell come up for sale in 2 auctions.
This one being sold does not have its lid or clear glass liner.
