VERY RARE Pyrex 664 Big Bertha (some call it polynesian) 4 Qt. Casserole W/Lid and Under Plate. Condition is NEAR NEW Pre-owned Original owner. This 2 color 4qt design casserole is believed have never been released because Corning was never able to center the 8 leaf red flower jn the crnter of the outter brown design. I know one of the engineers that worked for Corning and was involved in the profection of this 2 color design. Some prototypes were ran but none never l...eft the plant for sale to the public. This model was intended to be released with a model 212 12 inch clear glass under plate/dish as well. (via my engineer friend). The only ones of these that are out there are ones that Corning employees eventually were able to have for their own use and thus that is how this one came in to my possession. The 664 big bertha pattern was used on other pieces of pyrex but it was only in one color. Here is a RARE find.
