Up for sale is an extremely rare Antique Ansonia mystery/swinger clock movement. We inherited them from a late relative who was in the antiques business. According to the inventory list, this should belong to the huntress statue.We thought that someone else had taken this part from the estate, and thus we accidentally sold the statue that it would have sat on in an earlier listing. We had to do quite a bit of research as the piece is not signed. Our 78 year old mother remembered seeing... this at my late uncle’s home in the 70s, so we don’t think that it’s not a reproduction.We were lucky to receive information from some gentlemen form the NAWCC, who informed is that this is most likely indeed an ansonia, and that a large portion of their mystery clock movements were not stamped or signed. The movement had a note that said that it was last serviced in July of 2018. Since we don’t have the statue, we wound the movement up and tested it on the hanger for our bird feeder. To our surprise, it worked!The piece appears to be in overall good condition. There is a small dent on the left side of the rim around the dial. The dial was also noted to be a replacement, as it is a Waterbury and not an Ansonia. Note: This item is part of an inherited estate. We are not experts, so time accuracy is not guaranteed.
