For your consideration is a rare antique Taylor's 'cross-belt' hand crank sewing machine.Manufactured by William Taylor of Driffield in the UK. Circa 1875
Made in the Victorian era when not only did they have to function well but also have a visual appeal to the consumer. This particular machine has both those attributes and is highly sort after by today's collector. It is in all original condition as found, although it could benefit from a good cleaning.I have just given it ...a wipe over for the sake of the pictures. It has it's original shuttle and bobbin as well as a needle. The decals are faded but are there, you can still see some of the red and green pin stripping around the base as well as others on the machine.
The machine turns over freely but please keep in mind this machine is 145 years old and therefore not perfect. It is missing the bobbin winder like 95% of the Taylor cross belt machines I have seen. This stunning, highly collectible machine deserves a prominent place in someones collection.measurements: 35cm long x 20cm wide x 28cms in height
If you have questions please ask before you bid.
I ship worldwide but please note that due to the virus situation shipping even by air can take 4 times what is the usual.I recently sent a very rare sewing machine toy to the USA by air and it took 30 days to arrive so please be patient. The freight quoted is cost, I do not charge for packing.
I have been collecting these machines for over 20 years and I pack them how I would expect to receive them.
PayPal only unless you are collecting in person.
Again, if you have any questions PLEASE ASK.
