Best TESTED Bromeliad: Stunning RARE Species! Nearly impossible to find, we obtained this species on our trip to Ecuador in 1979. Full size urn shaped (matures to 22") this thick leafed species is a ...very hardy and easy grower. Fantastic leave colors are matte green with random purple splash. Sends very unusual flower on long/thin woody stem resembling a large tulip. *** LIMITED SUPPLY *** Best grown in partial sun, this cultivars will adapt to a wide range of conditions including a occasional light frost with no problem. Wet, hot, dry or cold, this is a top performer! Grown outdoors in USDA zone 8B and up. You are getting a top quality plant. Plants will be carefully wrapped and shipped without soil (bare root or bare cuttings) with care instructions.Over the years I have selected varieties that perform best , are easy to grow and produce spectacular flowers with minimal pest or disease problems.
