this auction is for one of the best sounding audiophile decks ever made. this is the mcintosh mx4000/mda4000 cd player and digital to analog converter with the RARE, bnc to fiber optic cable. it has been refurbished. none of the others on here are refurbished. this retailed for 2000.00 in 1996! it being refurbished and good for anotherlong time makes it worth more as i have sold mcintosh equipment well over retail. this is an awesome sounding unitmost people sell just the converter or the radio and sometimes with no fiber optic cable. you need the cable for cd sound.you need the mda4000 for cd sound.
ALL of these radios need refurbishing because they are 13-24 years old. if you buy one on ebay without it, you will be spendinga lot of money to fix it. get one that has had all of the work done to it.
