RARE Vintage Angle Spout 36 Cal Powder Flask Civil War Era for Colt & Other Arms made by the American Cap & Flask Company. As seen in the photos from Ray Riling's "The Powder Flask" book, this is the 6 oz. fine version, number 590 Coat of Arms. Both sides have the American Eagle holding a spear, shield and olive branch with crossed American flags behind it. The bottom foreground has a cannon, anchor, sword, bugle and cannon balls. Above the eagle... are two rows of stars and crossed revolvers. This is the Navy style flask and most likely was used in conjunction with a Colt 1851 Navy or Colt Pocket of Navy caliber, but could be used with any 36 caliber percussion arm, including Manhattan, Cooper and all the modern replicas. This is an original and not a reproduction, and highly desirable having the angled spout. Seldom seen for sale, this would make a nice mate to the bullet mold I have for sale, as well as pairing both with your Colt percussion revolver, so don't miss out on this one!
