Original Description:
You are looking at a Super Rare Rock Island Automatic No. 4 Swivel Base vise. This vise weighs about 37 lbs., has 3-1/2" jaws. Vise was repainted by me, two very light coats of satin epoxy. The cylindrical nut in the base clamps with the cylindrical base when the handle is tightened to lock swivel motion, thereby earning the name "Automatic". Patent date 1901. You won't be seeing another of these for a while. Thanks for looking.
