These don’t come up often as not many were made, Colnago ESA Mexico Bike Frame Fork and headsetFrame size is approximately 61cm measured center of BB to top of top tube. Top tube is 58cm and head tube is 18.5cm. Columbus SL Gilco shaped tubing. Nice chrome lugs are in good shape too. No cracks or dings, paint has it’s shares nics or scratches here and there.ESA Mexico’s (1986–1988) had 6 ribs on main tubes. The ESA Mexico was the forerunner of the master. It has exactly the sam...e shape of tubing as the Master but with 6 crimps in the Top, Seat & Down tubes, where as the Master has 4.One of the most iconic bikes which left the famous factory in Cavenago (Milan, Italy), the first Colnago Mexico was produced to celebrate the 1972 Eddy Merckx world hour record. The Colnago Mexico was slightly different from the Colnago Super - built with even thinner Columbus tubes - but shared with that glorious bike the aggressive racing geometry: short, light and very stiff! The next step in its evolution became the Colnago Nuovo Mexico first released in 1982 and continued in the year 1983 with minor differences. It was built with profiled Columbus SL tubes which had distinctive crimps on the sides of the top and down tube. In the following years the evolution went even further and when the Colnago ESA Mexico hit the market it had six distinctive crimps on the main tubes and chromed headlugs.Colnago ESA Mexico certainly is the rarest of all Mexico models.
