MAMOD STEAM FIRE ENGINE - UNIQUE ONE OF A KIND MODEL - VERY SPECIAL

I took a standard Mamod Steam Fire Engine, added a couple months of winter time, and came up with his unique model fire engine. The original Fire Engine had been in my collection for some time when I started this project. The chromed boiler housing was sanded and repainted with high temperature engine paint, as was the rest of the unit. Three brass vertical vent tubes were added ( these are open to the boiler below ). A new single seat was hand built, facs...imile head lights and red caution lights were assembled, rubber mats added, gauges added along with a wooden dash. The vehicle was converted to left hand steering and the ladder mount was modified. Wheels were painted to resemble wooden spoke wheels as the originals would have been.
The metal parts I added are brass. The light lenses are plastic.
This engine was a fine running engine when I started this winter project. I have not fired it up since then. Paint is high temperature paint. None of the lights are working - they are cosmetic only.
This engine displays nicely especially with other similar fire engines.
