I'm not sure if it is meant to be a candle holder but it serves the purpose beautifully. It is heavy and in no danger of tipping, raised sides so wax from a pillar candle would run over. Measures about 7 3/4" square at outside edges, 5 1/2" inside. This item is in excellent previously owned condition. Barely noticeable wear. May have the odd faint scratch. No other damage. Just needs a bit of cleaning/polishing. Not signed, exact a...ge and country of origin unknown. Very heavy - weighs almost 2 lbs unpacked.
