Signed with the artists initials E.B and dated 95 for 1895. Curious and unusual scene from an exorcism and with a starry night graveyard scene below it. There is a face of a demon seen at the upper right. Possibly an illu...stration for a magazine? A Very rare work by Jewish/German artist, Emanuel Bachrach-Barée (1863 –1943). He worked as a painter and illustrator for German newspapers in Munich since 1885. But in 1936, because of his Jewish origin, the Nazi authorities banned him from working, and forbad sales of his paintings. A very fine piece and one of its kind. A collectors dream.
