Rare HENRY BOOTH Civil War Era KnifeH.C Eagle Snake Silver Handle LOOK 1619Up for auction today is an old H.CBooth knife.The knife has seen better days. I’mnot sure what’s going on with the handle, but it looks like that now. There issome separation happening with the silver (colored, don’t know if sterling ornot) portion and the tang. It appears to be marked:H.C. BOOTHNORFOLK WORKSSHEFFIELD The blade istels show some pittingand staining. The edge feels bumpy, and there is a flea...bite chip near the tip.At the beginning of the edge you can see it’s a bit dented like it was struckFrom the research I’ve done itappears HC Booth knives were made around the civil war era, 1860s or so.
