Vintage Rare Sansui SR - 929 Quartz Drive Turntable Plays But Has Issue

Available is this legendary Sansui turntable... this is the TOTL model SR-929. Engineered to a performance level, and not to a price point, this beast (38 lbs!) has a build quality rarely seen today.
This table has some issues, and I don’t have the time or the patience to track down the solution. When working, this table is a stupendous performer, and sounds superb (I was running with a 2M Bronze, not included in the sale)
The issue is speed variation. Without the quartz lock ...on, she will play with perfect pitch control for an hour or two, then start to wander. Pitch control adjustments will bring her back into tolerance... sometimes for another hour or two, or sometimes only for a few minutes, before I need to fiddle with it again. With the quartz lock on, pitch is all over the place. I don’t know if this is an easy fix, or a big problem, but I don’t have the time to deal with this, so I hope you do!
Please do see all the pictures, for an accurate representation of the physical condition of the table. Overall, I would say in good condition, but please judge for yourself.
No dust cover, no headshell, and no feet (I bought feet for my SR-838 from MNPCTECH for less than $100, and they were wonderful folks to deal with). Arm is in good shape, and includes weights. Platter has some kind of indentations in it, but I was running it with a mat, and all worked well.
