Vintage, Ca. 1960s Metaframe Deluxe 10 Gallon LONG, With Hood, No Leaks, RARE
Item History & Price
Condition of this tank and hood are excellent. For accuracy there is a tiny scuff to the edge of the frame that is barely seen. Also, one end glass was cracked and professionally replaced with a special formulation of cement by Dow. This tank does not leak. The hood has its original electrical cord and plug in good condition. In a few spots on the glass panels there are some very faint mineral deposits that can easily be polished away but are not visible when the tank is filled with water.
Payment, Returns and Shipping Policies: Please pay by paypal. Absolutely no e-checks will be accepted!! I will accept a return as per ebay's 30-day return policy. However, buyer's remorse or bid by mistake will not be accepted as a valid reason for a return. Buyer pays for return shipping and insurance and upon receipt in the same condition as sent I will refund in the amount of the winning bid.
If you have any questions please feel free to ask me using the ebay message system. I will gladly do my best to provide you with any needed information, including more photos. I want you to feel confident in your bidding! Happy, satisfied customers are my goal. Domestic shipping with full insurance for all domestic buyers will be a flat rate by USPS priority mail or standard ground depending on where you live. Shipping prices jumped again this January so please understand these costs are beyond my control. You should also know that eBay, very unfairly in my opinion, charges its final value fee on the shipping charge as if this is income to sellers. This is a heavy item that will require an oversize box and special packing to assure safe delivery of tank and hood in one box. I have shipped many aquariums so I know what is required. So please understand the shipping cost.
Final Comment: You probably won't ever have another chance to acquire one of these, so don't let it get away. Reasonable offers will be cheerfully considered. Please check out my 5 gallon tank and many aquarium books, Chinese export porcelains, as well as antique glass, pottery, and other porcelains.
