This remarkable instrument features German Schott Glass (associatedwith Zeiss) and oversized prisms to give bright, razor-sharp views that arefully lit to the edges. The slightly yellow-amber optics show off thisbinocular’s military heritage by providing high contrast, great haze penetration, and lower eyestrain in bright conditions. The IOR factory has been supplying the Romanian Army andother Eastern European militaries with high-grade optics since the mid-1930s. This pair, metal w...ith heavy rubber armor covering and noreticle, was built in the 1990s and shows little, if any, signs of usage. Therubber armor has a bit of discoloration due to age (please see photos), but issoft and free of cracks. The angled bat-wing eyecups are also soft and supple.Controls and optics are excellent.
