This auction features this Rare Wooden NRA NATIONAL RECOVERY ACT WOOD CHEST With drawer! It measures 16 inches long x 8 inches high x 10 1/4 inches deep and boasts a interior drawer and old red paint! The NRA stands for the NATIONAL RECOVERY ACT and it was a workers program initiated by Franklin Roosevelt from 1933-1935 during the the Great Depression era. One end has the eagle emblem and NRA Member imprint; along the front it reads FROM THE LAND OF SUNSHINE" One end piece ...of trim is missing; and there is a hairline crack on the front trim and the graphics are hard to read because of being painted; Great rare piece for your NRA collection!
