Here we have a scarce Second World War U.S. Navy aviator's navigation hack watch made by the Elgin National Watch Company, model F.S.S.C. 88-W-800, Elgin Part No. 2103. This watch was made in 1944 and features an Elgin Grade Number 539, 8/0 size, 16-jewel movement in a chrome-plated brass "waterproof" case made by Keystone that measures approximately 30mm in diameter, not including crown or strap lugs. The 25cm (9-3/4") long one-piece, olive green colored fabric strap is correct for th...e watch and dates to WW2. The watch is in good condition for its age, cosmetically and mechanically. It runs and hacks, but stops frequently and so a service is recommended if you plan to wear it. Please see the condition description, photos and video for details. An interesting and historic watch, seen far less frequently than the Army's A-11 watch equivalent.
