1917 Brevet Semi Hunter trench watch, silver cased 35mm military style, original.A gorgeous world war 1 semi hunter watch made by Brevet and imported to the UK in 1917/18.The case and caseback are fully hallmarkedThe rear case has been very ornately in graved with AMThe watch serial number is believed to be 725278A.G.R meaning Arthur George Rendell
Watch Dial-
The dial is in good original condition. There is no fading to writing. And no cracking of the enamel, a fine example... of a dial for its age, may benefit from a clean
Watch Hands- Thermally blued, some discolouration,
Watch Glass/crystal-
The watch crystal is in very good order with no cracking and only very light surface scratches.
Watch Crown-
The crown is the original crown, having found other watches by the same brand that have the exact same crown I ascertained that the crown is original
Watch Case-
The case is in superb condition with only very light surface scratches that are consistent with the use and age of this watch. original and would benefit from a clean
As with these old watches the rear case thread on the screw back needs to be on correctly and also carefully tightened equally all over
Watch Lugs-
The lugs have only very slight deformation nothing excessive

As you can see from the video the watch does tick away nicely, And when doing so holds time very well, however I think this watch would benefit from a deep cleaning and a service as the crown feels tightly wound, and the watch mechanism periodically stops, as such due to this the watch is being sold as a/F or as found. As it may require a service and a deep cleaning/further restoration

After doing some further testing on the watch The crown is now fully wound and fixed in its position, as such it is no longer ticking away or functioning
