ZSOLNAY Russian Art Ceramics "Eosin Iridescent Glazed" Green & Gold Candy Dish..Excellent condition, lobster & snake motif, gorgeous, intricate, beautifully done, old!!
Excellent to perfect condition as well as very rare 1920's piece done in Russia, company was closed after 150 years in business in 1944-45 by the NAZI's. Rare iridescent glaze over green & gold, lobster & snake motif, great looking and feeling!!
Measures 6 inches wide 1.75 inches tall, with a... few variations as the rim is amazingly decorated w/the lobster being chased by the snake in gold. Base is 4 inches across w/Zsolnay Stamp/sticker on bottom center as correct!
Rare, rare, rare as are the 2-Zsolnay 150th Anniversary Marked Vase's for sale on this site! Same "Eosin Iridescent Glaze" both perfect, marked gifts to best customers & dignitaries only in box of 2. Never had box, but vases perfect and match this dish perfectly!!
