Girard-Perregaux Mechanical Swiss made watch, with Alarm , which , by the way , it DOES NOT WORKS. . Now , let's describe the rest of the watch: Right after winding it you have to shake it hard enough or hit it against your hand to make it start working; After that it goes smoothly. And speaking about winding it, 30 turns of the crown lasts a cycle of 24 hours and it keeps good time for the first three to four hours, after that it starts to race ahead and it ends up three to four minut...es ahead( that means it needs an adjustment). The face cover is plastic vinyl , with a crack on the 11:00 - 12:00 area and some other smaller scratches . The dial is beige and the markers are not numbers but bars. The name "Girard-Perregaux" is right under 12:00 o'clock , the alarm window is located above 6:00 o'clock. There are three hands:Hours, Minutes and Seconds. The Case is elongated in a cushion shape, and it has two crowns, one for the alarm which is located at 2:00 o'clock and one for the manual winding which is located at 4:00 0'clock. The crown for the alarm has a capital letter " A " , and the one for the winding has two letters , (capital also) " GP " , which , by the way , I HAVE NOT SEEN ON ANY OTHER WATCH(on line) of the same brand name. On the back it says " Stainless Steel Back " and "18K gold electroplate Bezel ". The back cover is of the kind that screws on , with 6 notches . There are some small scratches all around the case and some decoloration. The band is a stretchy one, and is not the original( is an old speidel made in the USA.). This is a pre-owned item, and more over , is a vintage one , and AS SUCH IT IS SOLD AS IS .
