Up for sale is a handy set of 5 x SHELL AUGER PATTERN BITS, good for drilling timber, square tapered shank for fitting into a hand brace, a very old style of bit. • 1 x 10mm unmarked • 1 x 8.7mm J.S.• 1 x 7mm unmarked • 1 x 5.5mm unmarked • 1 x 4.9mm unmarked
These are very old bits, used for boring long straight holes, not made anymore, so they are getting harder to find, classified ...as one of the "vanishing tools". A good set of 5 X shell Pattern bits, perfect for the unplugged workshop. Weight - 220gThe ruler and matchbox in the photos are for a size comparison only, not for sale. CONDITION These shell drill bits are in authentic vintage condition, wear and tear consistent with age and use, some pitting & wear, could do with a sharpen, essential for the unplugged workshop.
