Fantastic "Un-Molested", Original Zenith "Trans Oceanic" Shortwave Portable Tube Radio Model 7G605. Circa 1941. This Deluxe Portable Radio Depicts a "Bomber" or "Clipper" Airplane Design Sewn into its Speaker Grill Cloth. The Zenith Trans-Oceanic Clipper was Among the World's First Fully Portable, Battery-Powered Short Wave Radios. Its Production was Limited as it was Made for Less than Two Years. This Complete, Well-Designed Radio Resides Inside ...a Faux Alligator Covered Brief Case that Opens at the Front to Reveal the Radio Speaker, Dials, Buttons and Original Map Chart. The Back Opens to Allow the User to Access a Telescopic Antenna, Short Wave Magnet with "Wave Booster", Electronics, Tubes as well as the Battery Compartment. Made by the Zenith Radio Corp., Chicago, IL. Made in USA. From the Collection of Leonard Urlik.

Excellent Original condition. Appears almost Unused. All Original. The faux alligator case is lustrous and in excellent condition. The sewn-in "Bomber" design and speaker grill cloth is excellent. The gold and black metal details, dial and face are fantastic. Includes both the original shortwave "Electro-Magnet" and telescopic antenna. The original leather carrying handle is still attached but broken on one end as typical from aging. Appears to be completely original with period correct tubes. Radio turns on but was not played. Chassis and empty battery compartment is very nice. An excellent example of an "Un-molested" original radio. The images provide the best condition report. Functionality is not guaranteed.
