Original Description:
A painted corkscrew by SYROCO -- Syracuse Ornamental Company of New York. Circa 1940s. It is a waiter or sommelier, whose head removes to become a corkscrew.  Fabricated from compression molded composition of wood powder (sawdust) & thermoset resin. A charming fellow. The corkscrew shows wear, the beginning of rust. The figure is in good shape. There is a little paint loss behind is right ear, and at the bottom of his lapels.
