Antique 14th Century Icon RelicHead Of SaintCarved Wood
Relic was found in the area of Southern France near Languedoc Roussillon in May 1977.It may have a connection to the nearby Abbey De Font Froide, founded in the 11th century A.D.
Dimensions:
Head of Saint: 7" tall x 4" wide x 4" deep
Head of Saint mounted on the base 10" tall
Base is 5 1/2" wide x 4 1/2" deep x 3/4" thick
Condition:
- Relic is very old and shows its age. - Very... little of the original decorative paint remains.- NOTE: Base / Stand is not original to the Relic
