Antique c1784 Austrian hallmarked 800 silver base, painted curled edge pink glass serving compote or bowl. Super pretty old item. Measures 6 3/4" height x 5 1/2" diameter across the top. The silver base is 3 1/4" x 3 1/4" x 4 3/4" height. The glass is in good condition with a couple of small chips on outer edge. No big deals. Best seen in pics 8 and 9. The base is tarnished and shows a couple of small wear holes. The Austrian silver mark is one that was used from 1737-1866. The century... is rubbed but the year mark is clearly 84. There is also an unidentified HS maker's mark. The glass is decorated with painted silver overlay and shows only some minor paint loss. This one has survived. Enlarge all pics for best details.
