It's got a nice deep Iron Pontil with all iron remaining, and was made around the 1850s. It has a tapered double collar lip, typical of porters/squat beers of the pre-Civil War era.
It's embossed on the front with "BROWN STOUT" in an arch, and on the back, "DYOTTVILLE GLASS WORKS / PHILAD. A".
Its color is a murky medium forest green.
It ...retains some overall wear across its surface from being buried in the ground, and aside from a small chip out of the bottom of the collar it has no other damage. For a dug example it's in great shape.
