This appears to be an extremely rare bottle. I can only find one example sold in 2007. It is listed as a porter with an improved iron pontil circa 1856. The bottle you are looking at is a John R Owens Parkesburg in a square slug plate. This is a Pennsylvania bottle. The back says it was made at Dyottville Glass Works Philada (Philadelphia). The bottle measures roughly 6 3/4" tall. There is a really nice long twisting bubble in the neck. There is a bubble on the base. There are no pot st...ones, chips, cracks, or burst bubbles. There are 2 super small pinhead size nips in pic 12. These would immediately tumble out. This is a superb example in a nice dark emerald green. The closure is an applied double tapered collar. This does appear to be a dug bottle with no sickness. I tried to clean the inside goo as best I could. I just dont own any bottle brushes any longer. Final proper cleaning will be up to the buyer. This listing includes free USPS tracked and insured shipping to anywhere in the US. International sales are shipped through the global shipping program.Returns are only accepted for not as described issues. If you are concerned about the shade of green, please ask for additional pictures if needed. I would be happy to provide them. I am not accepting color returns.
