This dress looks handmade, it is unlined. No flaws at all, except it has been worn so the fabric likely lacks some integrity. This appears to be from the 40s based on the style. I showed this with one sleeve cuff up and one down, so you can wear it either way. This has pockets, and darts at bodice. This has dark green Girl Scout buttons, and the fabric is quite nice in the rich green color shown.A fellow eBayer was nice enough to give me the history of this dress:In the later 40's, the ...Girl Scouts contacted fashion designer Mainbocker to re-design the Intermediate, Senior, and adult uniforms. He gave them a unified look. There were three Adult uniforms; a part wool two piece suit worn with a blouse, a two piece dress, and a one piece long sleeved dress. In the later 50's, a short sleeved version of the long sleeved dress was made out of lighter material. That is this dress. It eventually replaced the long sleeved dress and was worn until 1968 when the adult uniforms were replaced with a uniform by designer Stela Sloat. Bust measures 36 inches across, waist is 26 inches, hip measurement is 39 inches, total length is almost 40 inches; 16 inches from the top of the neck to the waist, and 24 inches from the waist down.Email any questions!
