Mitre-Box Saws are regularly made 11 points to the inch, 19 gauge in thick...ness. the preceding information is from disstonianinstitute.combacksawpageThis listing is of a Distton #4 26" back saw said on the website to have been made throughout the history of the company. The information at the sight and my observation of markings dates this saw to between 1900 and 1940 when they quit putting a logo on the spine like this one has. It also has a logo on the blade that says in part Miller's Falls, which the website explains is a saw made to go with Millers Falls Miter boxes manufactured there. This saw appears to be still sharp I provided closeup pictures of the teeth on a section of the blade. to my eye, and my fingers, all the teeth on the blade seem to be of the same condition as the ones in the picture. It's been kept in a garage for awhile but now I am keeping it in air conditioning until I sell it.
