Description/Interesting Notes: An absolutely extraordinary example of szenicsite on matrix from the type locale in Chile!!! Let me start off by saying that this specimen is way, WAY better than the pics show!!! Most examples of szenicsite consist of platy..., intergrown crystals with poorly defined morphology - however this specimen hosts a showy cluster of sharp, doubly terminated "books" of square-shaped stacks of bladed crystals!!! The crystals are highly lustrous and exhibit a gorgeous green color with marked translucence as well!!! There were just a small number of these unique specimens found and they are next to impossible to obtain!!! In person there is no mistake that this is something unique and special - it is really lively and dynamic!!! Upon close study one can see a significant showing of tiny powellite crystals scattered about and there is some silvery metallic molybdenite embedded in the characteristic matrix!!! This specimen is in magnificent condition and displays gorgeously in person!!! Don't miss out on this rare opportunity!!! This specimen is from the noted collection of Chet Lemanski!!!
