REALLY cool, and beautiful, round of wood. Label originally lists the location and species as being Live Oak from Boron, CA. That has been marked out, and replaced with Beech and no location. Since Jim has passed away, I can't ask him about it. And I can't guess, because it has a unique look to it. From one of the finest collections of petrified wood in the Northwest! Perfect, liquid, glassy polish. Preservation is perfect, and is wonderful under the microscope. Beautifully ...agatized wood. 4 3/4 4 1/4 x 3/8". I have been collecting wood for 30 years, and this is a nice one. I have it's mate in my collection! And it is one of my favorites! Ships USPS priority.
