21.5 lbs, covered in druzy crystals. deep vugs and crevices full of crystals. Polished on both sides with a touch of Mother Nature left. This piece is one of a kind. Incredible grains and patterns. Very detailed cell structure can be seen throughout this piece. Crystals on both sides makes this specimen very unique. This wood was part of a larger log dug out in Highland Ranch, CO this year. Its never seen the light of day in over 50 million years. This is a plank cut or rip cut. This i...s a piece of Colorado "Shrinkwood" petrified wood. The outside of the wood was fossilized first leaving the inner wood to absorb the mineral rich fluids that flowed in. 20" x 9" x 5" thick. Almost 2 " of the matrix covering the log was removed before exposing this amazing piece. I spent about 20 hours grinding and removing the matrix before polishing could begin.
