A little break from my usual Northwest wood. Beautiful, colorful round of Psaronius tree fern. A rare section from the tip-top of the plant! Very similar to the one pictured on page 80 of the Ulrich Dernbach book "Secrets of Petrified Plants". From Brazil. It comes out of one of the finest collections of petrified wood in the Northwest! Perfect, liquid, glassy polish. From the first batch of ferns to be imported. Preservation is perfect, and is wonderful under the microscop...e. A beautiful agate with a USA polish! Put a splash of red in your collection!! Great size. 5 1/2 x 4 3/4 x 3/8". I have been collecting wood for 30 years, and this is a real nice piece. When will you see another one like this?
