Beautiful Slab Petrified Wood From An Old Trading Post In Adamana, Arizona. This highly polished example came from an old trading post called, “Overpass Curio”, see picture , which closed many, many years ago. At one time, Adamana was called “The Gateway to the Petrified Forest”, (Petrified Forest National Park) but is now just a ghost town. The image of the 1930’s postcard, shows the trading post surrounded by large pieces of petrified wood. Another interesting fact is that ...John Muir and his two daughters lived in Adamana in 1904.
