Offered here is an ultra rare, beautifully prepared, highly detailed Pentremites girtyi blastoid combined with an Lanecrinus milleri crinoid and unknown echinoderm from the Big Clifty Formation from Crawford County, Indiana, Mississippian in age. The blastoid measures 3/8” long and has outstanding detail. The crinoid measures 5/8” long at its longest point with 1/8” of stem. The echinoderm measures almost 3/4” wide. The matrix measures 5” x 3”. As you can see from the pict...ures, all the fossils have great detail and the light calcite contrasts perfectly against the gray limestone matrix. The echinoderm area has been reinforced with super glue. This beautiful piece was found about 30 years ago when the highway department was building I-64 between Cincinnati and Evansville.
