Today we are excited to present for sale this beautiful antique Victorian piano shawl! This lovely piece is beautifully hand-crafted and detailed and was used in elegant Victorian parlors to cover a grand piano or a center table. The piece could also be worn as a fabulous shawl a la Stevie Nicks. The shawl is crafted of soft cream silk with a beautiful hand-embroidered floral pattern complemented by the extravagant fringing on all four sides. The hand-stitched flowers are stunning in soft shades of pink, blue, and green, and fit right in over the cream colored crepe silk. This piece presents very well and is in very good antique condition, with minor wear and patina commensurate with age and use. There are a few minute spots that are virtually invisible to naked eye. No strong odors. Please note that there are several tangles throughout the fringe. There are a few minor (fixable) rips in the fabric, but nothing to take away from its structure or look.
