This beautiful specimen of Rainbow Wood was personally collected from northeastern Arizona, the only area in the world where Rainbow Wood is found. From the Triassic Age and the Chinle formation, Rainbow Wood is approximately 220 million years old. This wood is known as Araucarioxylon Arizonicum, an extinct species of tree.This piece has intense colors all over and throughout with nice contrasting black. Weight is 3-3/4 lb.
