I built (or modified) this little gem years ago from a Lionel 8300 locomotive. The Lionel 8300 were plastic bodied and not very glamorous but they were relatively cheap and easy to work on. So I made a bunch of them with new details and this is one of them. I added the third dome, changed the steam dome to a chrome plated one, replaced the headlight and gave it a new number, no.67. I got an old plastic Lionel tender and seriously cut it down by carefully sawing ...it through the coal bunker. When I glued the pieces back together the wheels on the front and rear trucks almost touched! I put a rear back-up light on it (non-operating) and decorated it for the Lehigh Valley Railroad. These little models came equipped with a very reliable motor and drive train and they really look cool going down the track.
