Vintage Vacuum Gauge, 3 inch.American S. G. & V. Mfg. Co., Boston U.S.A.The Lombard Governor Co., Ashland, Mass.Bourdon Vacuum Gauge.Gauge is in very good condition.Usually the beveled glass lenses on gauges like this are damaged. This one is clear and not chipped or cracked.
The word "rare" is overly used on eBay. Usually those items listed as "rare" are not really "rare."However I do believe that this gauge is at least fairly unique.The back has been cast with the manufacturer...s logo.I've done a fair amount eBay surfing over the years and have only seen a couple of gauges like this.
I have not tested this gauge and make no claims that it functions as originally intended.
