This stunning WW2 Hamilton black faced 24 hour military pocket watch measures 52mm (2") across x 16mm (.75") deep and weighs 112 grams. It was produced by Hamilton in 1943 as an Aviators navigation watch or a deck watch and has a true 24 hour dial with a sweep second hand with the black military dial. It is engraved to the reverse " AN5740 mfr's part no 4992b serial no af43-4026 order 43-9969-af Hamilton Watch Co " with the 22 jewel movement marked in a si...milar fashion. It was bought privately from family who had owned it since WW2 and it has been kept in very good condition with no damage or scratches to the glass and the engraving to the back still very crisp and it ticks away very well keeping excellent time. A fine example of a rare WW2 military watch sold fresh to the market with no reserve.
