A Fine antique / vintage Swedish single bit forest Turpentine axe head Säter Banko from Säter Bruk , Säter Sweden from the 1900´s . Säter Bruk is located in Dalarna county in middle Sweden . Axe head has been clean and sharpen . Total length 16 .6 cm ( 6 1/2 in ) Blade width 8 cm ( 3 1/16 in) total wt. 784 grams or 1.73 lbs # . A handle will need to be installed in the head at that time it will be ready to use. The eye of the head is 4.5 cm long ( 1.77 in ) both top an...d bottom . The width in the middle top of the eye is 1.7 cm ( 0.67 in ) bottom width eye is 1.7 cm ( 0.67 in ) the length on the inside of the eye is 6.3 cm ( 2.48 in) , this will be the size for the handle to be fitted to . This axe head has been used pictures has to the condition of the head . The marking on the axe head is wore off and gone as the marking was electroplated in the end of the 1960`s with a paper sticker see pictures . A really nice quality axe head from Sweden that will provide many more years of service .
