Original Description:
Striking early daguerreotype in original case of a gentlemanwith a serious expression wearing a silk vest under his coat and a silktie.  (At first I thought it might be ayoung Andrew Jackson.)  The frame case isin excellent condition, but the glass shows wear as if there were little motesof dust between the glass and the image; but I’m guessing that they’re smallscratches that have accumulated over the years (see photos).
Overall size is 2.75” x 3.25”.
